In order to increase public awareness of human trafficking, update this issue and familiarize with current global trends in the fight against this phenomenon and to define the problem solutions in Ukraine, a round table «Combating Trafficking in Human Beings. International experience and current trends» will be held by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement.
iDemocracy informs so with the reference to the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement. Draft laws on countering human trafficking as well as uniting efforts of public and civil society sectors to fight human trafficking will be also discussed during the round table.
NGO iDemocracy is among participants of the event. The NGO is actively working on countering human trafficking, especially on adopting the best international practices of preventing and countering this phenomenon as well as developing practical cooperation among authorities, civil society and international organizations for consolidating efforts to elaborate efficient mechanisms of fighting human trafficking in Ukraine. The NGO will be represented by Director of iDemocracy NGO Human Rights Initiative Mykola Kuleba.
Ukrainian MPs, representatives of ministries (departments), law enforcement bodies, international and civil society organizations will participate at the round table.
