1,000 respondents aged 18 and over were interviewed using the CATI (Computer Analasys Telephone Interview) method. Theoretical sampling error, excluding the design effect, up to 3.1%. Date of the field stage of the study: April 13-15, 2021.
Among all respondents, 55.5% would vote against the sale of agricultural land if the relevant referendum were held. For the sale would be 25%. Among those who are against the sale of agricultural land, there are 58.1% more women than 41.9% of men. The main group among those who are for sale are men aged 30 to 60 years – 36.8%.
In general, among all women surveyed: 58.6% are against selling, 20% are in favor. Among men: 51.8% against, 31.3 for. By age, people over the age of 60 are the least likely to support sales – only 16.9%.
The sale of agricultural land is mostly supported by people with higher education than those with secondary and secondary special education: among those with higher education, support is 28.7%, among people with secondary and secondary special education, support is 19.3% and 16.4%, respectively.
It should be noted that the greatest support for permission to sell agricultural land was recorded among people who believe that things in Ukraine are moving in the right direction, among them 42.2% for, 37.2% against. This means that the issue of land sales exists in the context of national processes and the growth of support will occur along with the growth of confidence in state institutions and the authorities as a whole.
